Hadlow United Vrs Whitehill Tavern

28th March 2004 (WKSL)

United started the brighter of the two sides and deservedly took the lead after exploiting the flanks with great effect in the first twenty minutes. Harvey and Excell both had chances to put Hadlow ahead before a long ball from Carlton found Donnelly who sped past the stranded keeper before slipping the ball into the empty net to secure his first goal since joining Hadlow.

Hadlow seemed to be coping well at the back but some slack marking led to a flick on being headed into the ungaurded net for an equaliser just before half time.

In the second half United stopped doing what was working so well in the first half and the supply to the front two dried up. United could only soak so much pressure and when Carlton got caught in possession Whitehill took full advantage and made it 2-1.

More onslaught followed and United caved in in the last fifteen minutes and conceded another 3.

The final score ended Whitehill Tavern 5 Hadlow United 1.
