Hadlow United Vrs Tonbridge Town

14th March 2004 (WKSL)

On a quagmire of a pitch in strong gales Hadlow didn't turn up to play.  With Harvey missing through no given reason Smith-Foreman deputised upfront and missed two glorious chances in the first half before being substituted at the start of the second half.  United were two down at the break and lacked any creative ideas.  Walsh and Cooper came on in the second half to try and sure up the midfield but there was no urgency in United's play.  The nail in the coffin came when Miles was embarrassingly lobbed from a wind assisted drop kick from Town's goalkeeper.

The game was put to bed after a good run and shot flew into the top corner.

A game well worth forgetting.

Team: Miles, Shimell, Betts, Carlton, Bridges, Goldsmith (Cooper), Wood, Donnelly, Leach (Garside), Excell, Smith-Foreman (Walsh)
